What to Wear in Dubai in November

Pack for a city that has just come back outdoors. NOAA's figures for Dubai International Airport give November 30.7°C by day and 21.3°C at night across 1991–2020, with less than one day of measurable rain, and the National Center of Meteorology describes it as a transition month, with highs and lows 4 to 6 degrees below October's. The calendar follows the temperature out. The Dubai Fitness Challenge runs from 31 October to 29 November, and in 2025 its Dubai Run put more than 307,000 people on Sheikh Zayed Road. Global Village is open from 4pm with a request to "dress modestly", and Visit Dubai's own line is plain: "swimwear and bikinis are fine to wear at the beach, but not in a shopping mall". Running kit for the morning, sleeves and long hems for the afternoon.

   The National reports that the 2026 Dubai Run starts at 6:30am on 22 November, ten minutes before sunrise, over 5km or 10km of Sheikh Zayed Road. A quick-dry tee handles either distance and dries before brunch, and eucalyptus green hides sweat better than grey.

   For Dubai Ride and the Fitness Challenge's free sessions, and for the Metro home afterwards. Full-length joggers cover your legs in public without a change, and a cuffed ankle stays clear of a bike chain on the Ride's 12km course.

   Sheikh Zayed Road is tarmac from end to end, and a 10km on it in November asks for a proper running shoe, not a fashion trainer. Grey mesh breathes as the heat rises after sunrise, and the shoes pack flat.

   Ivory silk blouse, stand collar, long sleeves

   Visit Dubai asks visitors to "dress appropriately in public areas", and a long-sleeve blouse does that in a mall, a gallery or a hotel lobby. Silk stays cool in the 30.7°C afternoon and covers your arms against the chill of the air-conditioning inside, and a stand collar looks finished at a Design Week opening.

   Global Village's visitor rules start with "Please dress modestly", and it opens at 4pm every day, when the afternoon is still warm. Wide linen covers your legs and moves air, and pale ivory goes with the silk blouse and the scarf.

   Jumeirah Mosque asks women to cover "arms, legs, and hair" and requests that ladies bring their own head cover. A silk square folds into the bag and covers your hair for the 10am or 2pm public visit, Saturday to Thursday; the rest of the time it is knotted at the neck.

   Dubai Design Week runs from 3 to 8 November across d3, which means a day walking between exhibitions on hard paving. A cushioned cork footbed on a jute platform handles that, and the buckles hold your foot on the walk from the Metro.
